a sigh of spray

stumbling over my feet

as i retreat

static tumble weed

in the subatomic desert

of resiliency

and i find words

to purchase

a chance clamber

over the fence of substance

while you see in me

a reflection of certainty

floating freely

in the cloud of probability

surface scintillating

in a play of photons

born of fusion

on a summer leaf

  1. I really like this Maria, you always have such good wordplay, but the imagery in this goes beyond the purely sentimental and actually looks inside the soul. Very interesting and impressive metaphors.
