lightning sews holes

below an indigo meniscus

as planets drip their glow

on spider vein cities

blurred by cloudy tears

that skim rims of cirrus

a crown the earth wears

coast lights spark the dark

and fireworks dim

beneath the stars

while i hold stead

in your soft breath

the weight of rest

and the craved covet

of a downy breast
