Grazing Occultation

i toss restless

under the undressed moon

curling into an arm

imagined to spoon

my threaded loam

as you

pass the shuttle through

golden sage wings

that flutter and sip

sweet streams

from petaled things

and when you reach for me

how is it

that i still feel?

a timely timeless drill

that cracks the shell

in search of my soft bodied frill

as a leaf sculpts

the wind

with grace

i long

for your embrace

A grazing occultation refers to the appearance and disappearance of stars due to the topography at the edges of the moon’s horizon.
